Quilt Projects

 

• The ABC Quilt Project - The Mission of ABC Quilts is to send love and comfort to at-risk children* in the form of handmade baby quilts, and to use the process of creating these quilts as a tool for promoting awareness, informed choices and community service. (* young children who are HIV/AIDS-infected, alcohol/drug-affected, or abandoned).

 

• Child Abuse Quilts - A quilt project designed to reveal and heal the pain of child abuse.

 

• Save Our Stories Project - The Quilters' S.O.S. &endash; Save Our Stories Project's goal is to create, through recorded interviews, a broadly accessible body of information concerning quiltmaking, both present-day and in living memory, for scholarship and exhibition. Instructions are included if you or your group would like to take part in the project.

 

• The AIDS Memorial Quilt - The goals of this quilt are to provide a creative means for remembrance and healing, illustrate the enormity of the AIDS epidemic, increase public awareness of AIDS, assist with HIV prevention education, and raise funds for community-based AIDS service organizations.
