Teacher Reflection
The students enjoyed this math unit. Creating a class book helps students see the value in working together as a team. Cooperative learning takes place and there is a sense of ownership in their learning. Guests that have come to our room enjoy looking at our books and are very complimentary. It is also a project that stays in our room for students to enjoy over and over again. They are proud of themselves and each other.

The use of art gives students a visual aid as well as a professional looking product. Students have seen the works of art we chose in other places and are excited when they are able to recognize them.

All Unit Plans are to be considered "Works in Progress". As teachers reflected upon the challenges and successes of each unit they were encouraged to return and make modifications. Also, each teacher was at their own level in incorporating the four strands of the grant into their daily teaching. As they grew more comfortable with each area they were encouraged to revisit their Unit Plan and make modifications. These Unit Plans are a snapshot of where the teachers were when the grant ended.
