The school children of the Claude O. Markoe School on the island of St. Croix created this mural on a long wall bordering their main street to represent their community.
The mural was completed in 1975, but due to deterioration, it was refurbished by another group of students in May of 1998.
It is a delightful picture of life on the island.
Wouldn't it be fun to contact this school and connect with the children who refurbished the mural? I'll bet they'd have lots of tips to give to kids doing a mural project for the first time!!!
