Photos from the Grand Island

Mask-Making Workshop

Saturday, October 9, 1999

The following photos were taken at the Saturday, October 9, Mask-Making workshop led by Christine Cook in Grand Island, Nebraska. Take a look at the innovative masks made by the Community Discovered participants and their partners!

Christine Cook, the Scenic and Theatre Design artist for the Green Fools Theatre Company in Calgary, Alberta, Canada, looks "up" for the workshop! Many of the masks constructed that day were made from "found" materials in nature, such as grasses, leaves, and feathers.

Kyle Nabity, teacher in Grand Island Public Schools, constructs his mask and then models it!
